REVIEW: Becoming Alpha by Aileen Erin

"I took another bite of my ice cream as the girl tried to stop the fight. Ice cream and a fight? Best mall trip ever."

Tessa McCaide has a unique talent for getting into trouble. Then again, it isn’t easy for a girl with visions to ignore what she sees. Luckily Tessa and her family are leaving California and moving halfway across the country, giving her the perfect opportunity to leave her reputation as “Freaky Tessa” behind. But Tessa doesn’t realize that kissing the wrong guy in her new Texas town could land her in far more trouble than she ever imagined. Like being forced to attend St. Ailbe’s Academy, a secret boarding school for werewolves. Even if the wrong guy did accidentally turn her into one of “them” and doom her to attending the weirdest high school ever, Tessa can’t help her growing attraction to the mysterious Dastien Laurent. When vampires attack St. Alibe’s and her visions pinpoint an enemy in their midst, Tessa realizes that boy drama and her newfound canine tendencies might just be the least of her problems.

WOW!!! This book totally surprised me in the most awesome way possible, I fell in love with the cover and read the blurb and I was hooked I noticed it on netgalley and I pressed REQUEST and prayed I got it, and HELL YEAH I DID!! The book is about Tessa McCaide and her visions which she gets from touching objects but also people. She tries to avoid getting visions by wearing gloves 24/7 and will try not to touch anything unless it is new because if she does she see's things from the previous owner which isn't always good. Tessa and her family were living in LA but things went wrong and they decided to up and move to Texas where her dad got a new secret job. Here she meets Dastien and OMG **SWOON**. She is warned away from him and the rest of the St.Ailbe's boys but she doesn't know why and no one will be up front with her. Then she gets turned into one of "them" and everything turns to shit, well she thinks it does anyway, it is turned upside down but sometimes you just have to roll with it.

"There really was way to much hotness going on back there."

I really really loved this book it flowed nice and easily, the characters were love able you felt for Tessa and just wished she could be 'normal'. You learn about the school and it's history, the students there the side characters are awesome as well you have the new BFF and the school bitch. Then of course you have the bad guys 'Vampires' who are just nasty and they bring excitement to the novel. I am so excited to read the 2nd book bring it on baby!!! I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read paranormal it has a NA storyline even though it sounds like a YA book, I first thought it was but i'm so glad I read this book
