RELEASE DAY BLITZ and REVIEW: Donners Of The Dead By Karina Halle

Karina Halle Donners of the Dead

***A Standalone Horror Romance***

Jake McGraw was unlike anyone I’d ever known. He was brash, rude, unapologetic and arrogant; chauvinistic, close-minded, and terribly stubborn. He was built like a tree, tall with a hard chest and wide shoulders and hands that looked like they could wrestle a bear. He was a cigar-chomping, scruffy-faced, beast of a man. I was pretty sure I hated him. And I know he hated me. But among the flesh-eating monsters in these snow-capped mountains, he was the only thing keeping me alive The year is 1851 and pioneers in search of California gold are still afraid to travel on the same route as the tragic Donner party did years before. When the last wagon train to go into the Sierra Nevada mountains fails to arrive at their destination, Eve Smith, an 18-year old half-native girl with immense tracking skills is brought along with the search party, headed by an enigmatic former Texas Ranger, Jake McGraw. What they find deep in the dangerous snow-covered terrain is a terrifying consequence of cannibalism, giving new meaning to the term “monster.” While the search party is slowly picked off, one by one, Eve must learn to trust Jake, who harbors more than a few secrets of his own, in order to survive and prevent the monstrosities from reaching civilization.

 ***This is NOT New Adult***

I would like to thank Karina for an ARC for an honest review

Karina Halle has done it again!!! You are one amazing, talented freaking awesome writer I love your shit!!!

Wow this book was creepy. From the very first line to the very end you are in for one hell of a ride. This is a historical romance some of the story is from the true story of The Donner Party who were a group of American Pioneers in 1846-7 who became stuck in the mountains from the snow and having to resort to cannibalism. Karina uses some things from history while putting her own spin on things and this is the product.

Jake McGraw is the ruggard cowboy with flaws and a total maybe even original alpha male, what I wouldn't do for a piece of that wheres that time machine when you need one.

Eve is a tracker who a group of men need to lead them up into the mountains to look for a group of men you went up there searching for remains and things of the original Donner Party. All doesn't go to plan and shit starts going down with freaky zombies, Indians, man. Things are not what they appear and you soon get understand and not to mention the chemistry between Jake and Eve.

They don't get along at the start but that's Karina's style and I love it, they come together naturally and mmm its hot. You do not want to miss out on this awesome zombie kick ass book.
